Our client, a two-year-old toddler, was in a bedroom at her grandmother’s apartment in Yonkers, NY, when she screamed. Her mother saw her hands were red, and washed them. The next day, the toddler’s hands had blisters on them, and she was treated at Westchester County Medical Center. They admitted her for five days and treated her for second- and third-degree burns and had a skin debridement. Our client still has residual hypopigmentation on the palms of her hands and right forearm, all of this was a result of an uncovered radiator on the premises. Our client won a settlement for pain and suffering, as well as medical bills.
